Save the date: June 5 and 6, 2020 Madeline Braxton and I are co-producing our first evening length work, "Specktackle". We are collaborating with an amazing cast to bring you groovy moves that explore the relationships between the dancers, the music, and the audience. Madeline Braxton at The Bipeds Present: The Shadowbox Sessions
Madeline Braxton is a Durham based artist, originally from Burlington, NC. She earned a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2017. Madeline’s work strives to reflect human experiences through the process of collaboration and movement research. She has participated in the local dance community, performing and presenting work in artists series such as, The Bipeds present: Shadowbox Sessions, PROMPTS (hosted by Durham Independent Dance Artists), North Carolina Dance Festival and Greensboro Fringe. In 2019, Madeline premiered “I Didn’t Mean to Stay Here” a concert dance work commissioned and presented by Tobacco Road Dance Productions in Durham, NC.

You can catch a first draft of what Maddie and I have been working on with musician extraordinaire, Louis Landry, at "The Bipeds Present: The Shadowbox Session #4". Session #4 happens on March 5, 2020 8:00pm at Shadowbox Studio, $10 suggested donation.
